Central Bridge, NY
First a welcome to heyduke50, the 71st follower of our blog. Thanks for dropping by and we enjoy reading your blog too.
We are still at
About all we did on Saturday was visit Wally World and Micky D's. WW for groceries and Micky's because the sign in front said Ice Cream Cones $.69! Who can pass that up. We can't obviously.
This morning we attended the local, very small United Methodist Church (UMC) just a few miles from the campground. There were 14 in attendance, including us.
Groversnors (the spelling might or might not be right) Corners UMC.
Shortly after returning to the rig, there to visit was Jessica and Harry of Planning for RV Days. We follow their blog, they follow ours. Since we were in the area, we just had to meet. Once more it is great meeting blogging buddies.
Their plan is to be on the road early 2013. They recently bought a Landmark Fiver and have been working on getting the house ready to sell.
Harry works in downtown Albany so agreed to be our tour guide. And a fine job he did indeed.
The Capital:
Albany City hall with the NY Supreme Court building next to it.
Jessica and Harry dwarfed by the building in which Harry works.
We had a fabulous lunch at a brew pub - Albany Pump Station.
Jessica appears happy with her Chicken breast stuffed with sausage and mozzarella cheese with sides of mashed potatoes and broccoli.
Harry enjoyed the Mixed grill. Ribs, BBQ chicken and kielbasa with baked beans and red skin potato salad. I ordered the same.
Len had the spicy Cajun catfish and shrimp with rice and a mixture of black beans and corn. Yummy.
The meal included appetizers. Each couple had the most luscious calamari and baked potato skins stuffed with cheese and bacon. For dessert it was strawberry shortcake.
This is a shot of the inside.
We enjoyed the meal but even more we enjoyed our time with Jessica and Harry. We sure hope to meet up with them again. In the meantime, we have our blogs!
