Spring is now fully upon us so I chose Gardens as today's Blogging from A to Z title.
I remember as a child walking with my Grandmother through a garden planted across the street from our house. There were rose trellises, cold frames set out for early starting, 4 formal paths meeting with a sundial at the center and various flower beds. Perhaps I got my love of touring gardens from this special time I had with "mom-mom".
As we travel we are privileged to visit gardens both formal and informal.
A child's garden setting among Sunflowers at Fort Ticonderoga, New York.
At the Ave Maria Grotto in Cullman, Al.
In the butterfly house at the Botanical Garden in Tucson, AZ
Hodges Garden, a state park in Louisiana
Getting ready to plant a vegetable garden at the Museum of Appalachia in Tennessee.
And finally the fishpond and bridge Leonard built and the flowers I planted at our home from 1992 to 2009 in southern New Jersey.
I do miss the early blooms of the northeast. First the crocus, then the tulip and daffodil display.
Do you have a favorite garden spot?

My favorite garden would have to be a little 4' X 4' plot I planted when newly married. I was a city girl and very naive about what to do. I packed in the seeds of every imaginable vegetable in that little space! You can imagine that I didn't get many vegetables, but what a good time my imagination had with it. :)
It's been nice seeing tulips and even lilacs blooming here in Branson. I missed those in Texas! I planted a few herbs in our camp spot here. Hopefully will get to enjoy them some before we head further north.
Wonderful pictures of exciting garden areas. I love gardens as well. Mike and I feel so blessed that we have Callaway Gardens so close by. It helps alot while we are not traveling.
Thanks for sharing your special gardens with us.
Gardens to me are God's most glorious gifts to us. All the colors, types of foliage, birds, insects, etc. are so awesome. Gardens bring me peace! Wonderful photos. Enjoy your week.

I had a wonderful garden at our MD house. I borrowed a pattern out of a Martha Stewart book. We had vegetables intermixed with flowers in a geometric shape. It was beautiful!
Great garden photos and nice blog idea.
I guess my favourite is the garden in our backyard.
used to have a beautiful flower bed all along front of house, but sadly no longer have time to keep one up. My mom and grandmother always had flower beds. loved my grandmothers lilac tree, always smelled so lovely.
