We had planned to arrive at the annual meeting on Saturday but decided to come on in one day early. As always, not a problem. As it was a short trip from the Flying J in La Salle we arrived around 9:30 and got set up.

Many rigs were already here. We watched others arrive on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We got settled into a 50 amp/water site. Pump out service available for $15.00. This is our home for a week, the fourth rig from the left.
What a delight it has been to catch up with some old friends. We are amazed at how many people we've met in the 4+ years we've been NOMADS. We spent Friday getting settled and doing some visiting.
Pecatonica is a VERY small town. Two small commercial blocks and the rest of the town is populated with modest homes. Population around 2,100.
Saturday night we joined 5 other couples for dinner at the local Italian Restaurant. Sunday was church service where the speaker was the local Bishop. In the evening there was the Memorial Service for those NOMADS who have died since the last annual meeting.
This morning after coffee, fruit and bagels and Bible study in the meeting hall, there was singing

For dinner I am responsible for the table set-up and rolls. The table decorations will be judged. I, not being at all creative, left the planning to my daughter Terri. Someone else is responsible for the main dish, another the salad and another the veggie. Will be interesting to see what will be provided. Then later in the evening is the cake and ice cream.
BTW, the weather when we got here was torrid. Close to 100 and humid, humid, humid. Each day has gotten cooler. Today when we got up it was 60. Probably in low 70's by now.

I always like to get to rally events early. Like being in an anchorage early, it is always fun to watch others arrive and navigate into their spots:)

I enjoyed reading about Len's driving skill too. I take my hat off to all drivers of big rigs and especially those with trailers since I cannot even manage an itty bitty car trailer. I will only use one if it's small enough for me to unhook and push into position by hand. *smiles*
